Maddie met pianist Columbus Sandor, bassist Guy Dempsey, and drummer Kai Macrae while studying at the Royal Academy of Music. With Guy’s 'unwavering crotchet beat' (UK Jazz News), Kai’s distinctive drumming sound, and Columbus’s expressive melodic lines, Maddie’s group delivers playful, original, and soulful sets, blending beloved jazz standards, songs from the Great American Songbook, and touches of soul. The group have been mentored by acclaimed British jazz vocalist Claire Martin OBE and multi-award-winning producer James McMillan. They recorded Maddie’s debut EP at Quiet Money Studios in September 2025. Another standout moment of the year was the quartet’s jazz festival debut at the Swanage Jazz Festival
