The Columbus Sandor Trio was formed in 2021, when Columbus Sandor met Guy Dempsey and Kai MacRae while studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Since its formation, the trio has performed on London’s jazz scene and performed together across the UK. The trio has become characterised by its fluency, elegance and dynamism. The trio has been mentored by eminent jazz artists including Dave Holland, Stan Sulzmann, and Tim Garland, whose influence has shaped and inspired their development as a jazz ensemble of the next generation.
