Columbus is one of the UK’s most talented young jazz musicians. He is a fixture on London’s storied jazz scene, regularly performing in venues such as Ronnie Scotts, the Southbank Centre, Vortex Jazz Club, and the Pizza Express Jazz Club. A former Music Scholar at Sevenoaks School, Columbus later studied at the Royal Academy of Music, under renowned jazzist Nikki Iles BEM. Graduating with First Class Honours, Columbus regularly performed and composed for the RAM Jazz Orchestra, including the premiere of his composition, The Silhouette of a City in 2025. Influenced by Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and Ahmad Jamal, Columbus is celebrated for his ‘mature, unforced musicality. ’ He has a rare ability to make any room feel like the centre of the universe.
